Like most free-to-play iOS and Android games, Iron Man 3 [Download: iOS|Android] comes with two virtual currencies, ISO-8 and Stark Credits. The former is particularly difficult to earn through normal play. In fact, Gameloft would prefer you purchase it with real money, which you can do at any moment. That said, here are the best ways to grab as much ISO-8 as your pockets can carry, presuming Iron Man has a pocket, of course.
Collect Trophies
You're guaranteed to score some ISO-8 by earning trophies. These include using 50 Frost Charges (five pieces of ISO-8), collecting 300 blue vibranium (seven) and avoiding 2,000 obstacles (10). Not only can you view the complete list from the main menu, but the game also fills you in on the progress for each achievement. Just remember to claim rewards to pad your virtual bank account. Watch Videos
It's a slow crawl, admittedly, but Gameloft will give you one measly piece of ISO-8 for watching videos. Visit the in-app purchase screen and click "Get Free iSO-8" in the lower right corner. Better than nothing, we say.
