Subway Surfers is an endless runner game for iPhones and iPads similar to Temple Run, but with a more light-hearted take on the genre. You’re running from a subway inspector and his dog, who’ve spotted you spray painting graffiti on the side of a subway car. You need to get away by dodging oncoming trains, picking up power-ups, and riding your hoverboard. Colorful, playful, and addictive.
GENERAL STRATEGY GUIDE
These are the basic strategy tips for Subway Surfers:
Ride On Top
1) Whenever possible, ride on the tops of the trains. Since the camera view is from right behind you, being up high gives you a better view of oncoming traffic and power-ups.
Get Some Coins
2) When you’re shopping, in general choose high coin producing power-ups first. That means choose the Jetpack and the Coin Magnet over the Super Sneakers and the 2x Multiplier, except when missions require that you do otherwise. This will let you get more coins to power up on the others after.
Hover or Die
3) Hoverboards hoverboards hoverboards! These are cheap and have the highest return on investment of anything else in the shop. Hoverboards give you immunity while they’re active – if you crash, you’ll just fall off the skateboard and keep running. They only cost 300 coins so stock up on as many as possible, and use frequently. This is the secret to getting high scores.
