1. What this guid will teach you?
By following this guide, you can play MW2 as in old days on your favourite servers. The rank from old AlterIWNet will NOT be resetted, so you are same rank as in AIWNet.
2. I dont have AlterIWNet and the site is closed, what to do?
So, this is actually really easy. Just download my Files, it contains the files from AIWNet, IF you need the DLC's and can't find a download, I will upload them too ; )

3. I have (now) AlterIWNet! What to do now?
3.1 Edit alterIWnet.ini
First, go to your MW2 main folder and edit the file alterIWnet.ini. When you downloaded my AIWNet files you can jump this step!
3.2 Start AlterIWNet
Just start your MW2 (iw4mp.exe), press ok on the first msgbox and choose then "Start the old IW4M1". After that press "Play Online" in the menu, and when it shows your character informations such as rank and name.
3.3 Connecting to servers
In this last step you just need to go to the console, and enter there this:
connect ip:port
As outside linking is forbidden here, I just post the 2 working IPs from me.

4. I cant join a server!
If you can't join a server from my 2 IPs, its usually this error:
Then you need to wait and restart the game a few times, IDK why this is happening.
